Looks like a very worhtwhile project, Tracey. All the best with this project. Just make sure no one confuses you with Wikileaks!! I’m going to bookmark for future reference.
Thanks, Dave. Hope to see you sometime in Cuba. I’d like to hear more about your motorcycle tours. Tracey
It will be really more than interesting to know where ALL that money go. As a Cuban who normally travel to the island, and know some disidents there, I can assure that just a really tiny small fraction of that money go to Cubans inside the Island.
Most the money, stays in Miami, for the so called “overhead” cost of operations.
Jorge,
Thanks for your comment. It would be interesting to know where all the money goes. We’ll probably never know, but I’d like to at least have a better idea what’s happening to all those tax dollars. Take care, Tracey
You will be surprise how many people inside Cuba would love to have access to all this website information, because it is a SHAME all the money that some people in Miami get out taxpayer work, with the Cuban freedom as front, and all these “patriots” who make a living on the Cuba issue. Unfortunately those are the ones who will not like to see a change in Cuba, because the status quo will keep the influx of money to them.
Jorge,
That’s interesting. Sometimes it seems like one side can’t live without the other. Tracey
You are right! Sometime a Yankee with a pragmatic approach seems to see things in a different way that a Cuban guy in Calle Ocho.
Buddy: how much the Cuban government has spent an is spending to push its agenda in the US. Do you think that they don’t give contributions to Charlie Rangel and other politicians in DC and pay lobbyist in Washington. For more than half a century there is a non declared war between Castro and the US, in the middle the Cuban people. Think!
I agree. You’re absolutely right. The amount of money the Cuban gov’t spends is a legitimate issue, not just in the U.S. but in Cuba. I remember seeing massive marches in Havana – expensive marches – at times when there was much economic difficulty. I know many Cubans who criticized that.
But I’m concentrating on U.S. gov’t spending.
i would like to do something for my country, what can i do for aply for get help from the gov
Luis – The Grants.gov links give instructions on how to apply for the grants.
The probem is not the money. The real issue is that the US since JFK has not, I repeat has not, had a proactive policy againsts the Castro regime. Correct me if i’m wrong!

In your interview to La Pupila Insomne, some of your sentences are linked to other articles and sources. Were those links provided by you?
